Cooking with the Moms
Janice is one lucky duck. A few weeks ago, she had the opportunity to travel to Napa, CA for a food-lover's conference at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Dietitians from all over the country flew in for the meeting, and they spent their days tasting olive oil (did you know olives are a fruit?), learning about the ingredients in mole sauce, and meeting with area foodies including fellow dietitian, Cheryl Forberg, author of the new cookbook, Cooking with Quinoa for Dummies. On this week's show, we dish about Janice's culinary adventures and share two fabulous recipes. The first is a Mediterranean-inspired dessert for Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Blueberry Compote and the second is a gluten-free quinoa guacamole. Imagine that!

After a weekend of shoveling and digging out from under 27 inches of snow (thank you Nemo), our kids were more than happy to dig into our latest recipe for Super Strawberry Pudding. Janice's daughter, Leah, loved it so much and told us, "This is the best thing you've ever made!" Tune into this week's show for details on the epic snowstorm of 2013 and for two Valentine recipes: Super Strawberry Pudding and Chocolate Bean Valentine Brownies. Both are made with better-for-you ingredients, so you can feel great about serving them to the valentines in your life.
